Our board of administrators and its elected members
The board of administrators is made up of 23 farmers – who are elected by VIVESCIA's members – and a representative of the FCPE. These administrators represent the farmers: they set VIVESCIA’s objectives and make sure they are achieved. Nine of them make up the board committee, and four works council representatives are also involved in the board’s work.
Christoph Büren is a farmer based in Pocancy in the Marne department. He took on his first responsibilities within our group in 1999, when he was appointed auditor of the agricultural cooperative. In 2009, he became a VIVESCIA administrator and section president. In 2014, he joined the committee of the board of administrators, before becoming vice-president of the Group in January 2016. On 13 December 2016, he was appointed presi-dent of VIVESCIA, president of VIVESCIA Industries’ SICOM and also became a member of SeVeal’s supervisory board.

In 1991, Christoph’s career began when he took over the family farm (grain, oil- and protein-seed, and beet) located in Pocancy in the Marne department. He developed the production of potatoes for the export market and the production of solar energy, as well as a variety of services. He has also served several terms as a director of Parmentine (potato trader), as AGPB's company secretary, as the auditor of Unigrains, and as president of the ELO (European Landowners’ Organization).
Christoph Büren graduated as an agricultural engineer from ESA Angers in 1988. The following year, he acquired another degree from École Supérieure de la Coopération Agricole et des Industries Alimentaires. In 1990, he completed an internship with the European Commission's directorate general for agriculture (DG6)
